We have ex-NHLers, Lawyers, Marketing experts, mentors, current players, business executives, financial professionals. Truly an amazing team of people that have a love and passion for the players of this game.

NHLPA Certified Agent

Ritch Winter is one of the most successful player agents in hockey. Ritch began his career after graduating from the University of Calgary law school, when he worked with sports and entertainment lawyer, Ted Steinberg, and advised clients such as Kareem Abdul Jabbar, John Elway, Dan Marino, and SCTV Alumni, Eugene Levy. Ritch ultimately started his own player agency, The Sports Corporation (TSC), and grew it from a single location in the basement of his condo back in 1985 to offices in Toronto, Winnipeg, Phoenix, Los Angeles, Sweden, and the Czech Republic. Ritch sold TSC in 2010 to start a new sports consulting and hockey agency.

Ritch has proven his commitment to hockey players time and time again. In 1989, he spearheaded the player movement that led to the conviction of then NHLPA Executive Director, Alan Eagleson, on counts of fraud and racketeering charges. One year later, Ritch assisted Carl Brewer, Gordie Howe, and Bobby Hull in recovering $50 million in pension monies that the NHL had unlawfully withdrawn from the players’ pension fund.

Ritch has represented over 300 NHL players from Canada, the United States, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Finland, Sweden, Denmark, Russia, and Switzerland, and negotiated a number of precedent-setting NHL Contracts including that of Dominik Hasek (highest paid goaltender), Petr Sykora (a record, 389% pay increase at arbitration) and Ilya Bryzgalov (9 year, $51 million contract). Ritch, through his boutique agency, Raze Sports, is now focused on servicing a specific subset of players including Marian Hossa, Mark Giordano, and Tomas Tatar.
