At Raze, we understand that the high-stress environment of professional hockey presents unique mental health challenges for our NHL clients and our commitment goes beyond on-ice success; supporting players’ mental well-being has been a key indicator of our commitment to the individuals we represent.
We represent people, not players and are deeply committed to the holistic well-being of our clients, recognizing the diverse roles they play as athletes, fathers, husbands, sons, and community members. Given the importance of early detection, we work tirelessly to proactively engage our clients in conversations about mental health, ensuring they have access to the resources and support necessary to address any challenges they may face.
A key component of our approach is early detection, which we prioritize to address issues before they become more serious. We go about your own days talking about what other athletes and we ourselves have gone through to help normalize what they are going through.
Our goal is to empower our clients to thrive both in their professional careers and their personal lives, enhancing their overall life quality across all spheres. We believe that by supporting their mental health and focusing on early intervention, we are investing in their ability to perform at their best on the rink and live fulfilling lives outside of it.

Mental health is like physical health, if you don’t treat it, it’s only going to get worse. When a teammate seems to be missing easy plays in practice, asks you to repeat yourself often, is quieter than usual it’s up to us to have “the courage ask, ‘Are you ok.’ And really listening to when someone opens up. Sometimes just knowing someone cares can make a huge difference.”
Michael Phelps
Everyone is going through something we can’t see. Mental health is an invisible thing, but it touches all of us at some point or another. It’s part of life. I realized I had to stop running from the conversations.”

“Sometimes the best way to support someone is just to be there, to listen, and to let them know they don’t have to go through it alone.”
